The incident is the third reported Homicide for the month of September.  A double homicide in Wolseley reported earlier in the month remains unsolved.

*The WPS have still not included the deaths of the Gibson children in their 2013 Homicide stats.  As a result, some news agencies are reporting this incident as Homicide #17.

  1. The deceased in this case had a major part in his own death. He showed up at another address with a machete, with the presumed intent to threaten another man. He was a vigilante, and the other guy got the upper hand in a fight, and was perfectly within his rights to use lethal force to defend himself, since the person who died, obviously have violent intent towards him, by showing up with a machete.
