Insider Commentary;

Beardy and Prysiazniuk-Settee are the 3rd and 4th reported homicides of 2017.

Police declined to make any comment regarding motive in either killing.

As a result, it’s not known if either killing is gang or drug related.

Police laid charges in the 1st and 2nd killings of the year.

In 2016, the 3rd homicide of the year was recorded on February 6th while the 4th homicide of the year was recorded on February 14th.

In 2016, the City of Winnipeg recorded a total of 24 killings solving all but three cases – solvency rate = 87.5%.*

*One case involves two victims, should that case be resolved the solvency rate would jump to almost 96%.
