  1. I find the whole shooting as another black mark on the city . I think it was over a week ago a WPS spokesperson claimed gangs were all but under control in the city. And once again do we have the allegedly persons of interest charged ,breaching probation orders . The circle just continues doesn’t it. And let’s think here. The gun used was a gun that was made apparently to kill people . Oh please WPS isn’t any gun in the hands of a criminal meant to kill. And that been said its now reported that the police also want these kind of guns now . Funny how that works. Now as a citizen I’m so fed up with gangs still running roughshot all over the city. I’m sorry but folks who commit these kind of horrible crimes need to be locked up for life . No more sob stories how one was brought up in an unloving home. We need to get tough on gangs and it needs to start now. James ,do you recall in the early 80’s that Winnipeg would have a major gang problem if it wasn’t taken seriously. Well here we are over 25 years later and it looks like nobody was too concerned. I have to wonder with a new police chief and deputy chief to,come in , how they will deal with this issue. I can only hope it works out better then the previous Chiefs.

I don’t think charges were officially laid at press time. Expect the names to be released shortly…

  3. Police did not identify the accused killers.

Seems rare they didn’t. Why might that be?
