Police Looking for Suspects in Latest Killing

police tape left over from a violent crime near my placeOn February 27, 2016, shortly before 3:00 am, emergency personnel were dispatched to the 800 block of Main Street regarding the report of an assault.

On arrival, Police located a male victim suffering serious injuries sustained in an assault.  The man was conveyed to hospital in critical condition and subsequently died.

The victim was identified as Henry Kipling (43) of Winnipeg.

Police report Kipling was assault twice within a short time by two separate people.

Police described the suspect as;

  • Female, mid to late 30’s, long black hair tied in a pony tail
  • Male, early 20’s, average height and build

The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit.

Kipling is the 6th reported victim of homicide in Winnipeg this year.

Four (4) of the six (6) killings have been solved.

Solvency rate = 66%.

Last year, the 6th homicide was recorded on April 20.
