Winnipeg Police Investigating 14th Homicide

The Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating homicide #14 after a man died in hospital after suffering unspecified injuries.

On May 5, 2019, at approximately 3:40 a.m., West District Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Taylor Avenue regarding the report of a disturbance.

On arrival, police located an unresponsive man inside a suite.

The man was rushed to hospital in critical condition but subsequently died from his injuries.

Police did not identify the victim or provide information regarding the motive for the killing or cause of death.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit.
